It was interesting to find this Alligator Juniper with such a twisted trunk so close to the ground.
This alligator juniper had almost half of the bark gone but this exposed side was very smooth wood.

I was checking out a cove along Willow Lake when I happened to turn around and see this wonderful display of clouds.
It must have been a powerful force to move these large granite boulders and pile them up at the bottom of this ridge top.
